Well I’ve been really busy here.  Writing on my blog hasn’t been a big priority these past couple of months.  I’ve been busy building new racks and trying to finish up my reptile room.  Now I need to figure out what tiles I plan on putting down in the reptile room.  I have to start the wiring for the room soon too.  Too much to do…not enough time.  Next for show for me is in Budapest.  Looking forward to making the trip to Hungary as I’ve never been to that part of Europe before.  Breeding has been slow this past season.  Not sure why?  I have the females ready and up to weight, but I could have tired out some males.  I guess that’s what happens when you are female heavy in a collection….i need to start buying some males.  Also the new website should soon be online.  Just finishing up a couple more pages and making sure the links work….it’ll be published.

i've started working on the new site. it's coming along nicely and i'm really liking the new look. but between family life, work, the animals, drawing....it's going to take a while to get it done. main issue is that i already have the server loaded with a bunch on old pics. if i started moving or deleting it's going to cause havoc on what's already linked to them.

15 February 2011

so i'm thinking i found a template that i like and with a bit of editing can make it work for my needs.only problem now is finding the time to rebuild the site.

10 February 2011

so it's been about 5yrs now with the website. and i'm really thinking it's about time to get started with a fresh new site.

6 February 2011

Here are some of the lastest ovulations i caught today...Dinker, Normal, Yellowbelly, Genetic Stripe. for some reason this season really seems like it's going slow. but I'm sure looking forward to seeing those eggs in a couple months!

5 February 2011

I caught some more lock ups today....Enchi x Spider and Pastel x Pinstripe.

5 January 2011

After all these years of messing around with my animals I’ve never really scrutinized my expenses.  So for 2011 I’ve decided to capture every dollar that goes out to my hobby.  This would allow me to see the real dollar amount spent monthly and eventually annually.   If you want to follow along you can view the expenditures here at my, 2011 Cost Analysis .

Happy New Year!!! So I pretty much went an entire year without updating my BLOG. These year i plan to be more active on making posts. Well the first show of the season for me is in Perugia a bit North of central Italy. I wasn't planning on doing this show again as my experience in January 2010 was TERRIBLE! But i was contacted by the organizer and was promised the exact tables/location I wanted. The show also moved to a larger gym and is now a two day show. I'm curious to know how this show plays out. As with alot of other breeders there's not much to offer at this time of year so most if not all will be 2010 animals. If you plan on going to the Perugia "Esotika Show" stop by and say hello. Here's the link to the show.... www.esotikaperugia.com

This picture says it all.....big girls need love too!!! Here's a male Lesser i hacted out earlier this year and he's already breeding at 368g. The female in this picture is about 2500g....big size difference.

20 November 2010

Caught some more lock-ups today while checking on the collection....Fire x Pinstripe, YB x YB, and Pastel x Genetic Stripe. I still have some more pairing to do with some other morphs before the season is over.

10 October 2010

Second lock-up of the season, Enchi x Spider. Looking forward to some Stinger Bees!!! What i really what to go for is a Super Enchi Spider. Hoping for a good ratio when the time comes.....

25 September 2010

Breeding season has started for me. Caught the first lock-up from a 100% het Albino x 100% het Albino. I purchased this pair several years ago, last year this female drop all slugs. She's got her weight back up so keeping my fingers crossed that they do prove out this season.

23 September 2010

Hatch out this gem this evening. Who doesn't love an all white complete red eyed leopard gecko. Still waiting for the sibling to hatch. Looking forward to see how this baby looks as an adult.

22 September 2010

Just finished up a custom display for JBpythons. I plan to offer kits in the near future. If you are interested contact me for prices.

21 December 2009

Finally got around to working on the new mice rack.   The levels are coming along nicely.  The only problem is that the aluminum is costly and the plastic inserts are not stocked 100% of the time.  So if the inserts are out of stock I have to wait usually a week for them to arrive.  Still tweaking the design, but I think they will work out great.  Not to mention that they are super light, look good, and can be seperated level from level for quick movement to and from a show.

Mice Rack

18 December 2009

Still pairing up the royals, breeding is still going, but slowed down a bit.  I thinking females are getting close to ovulating, since I started pairing in September let’s hope for some early eggs this season.

14 December 2009

Got the special order of rivets in 25mm long, the week earlier I wanted to get started on the mice rack.  I had bought some rivets from the Brico's and thought they were long enough.  Comes to find out that they were too short, so I had to special order longer rivets from a specialty store.

12 December 2009

Got a new animal in the collection today a blazing blizzard leopard gecko.  Actually it was a gift from a fellow breeder.  I gave him a nice RedBull fridge to convert to an incubator and he in turned gave me the gecko.  I probably would have never got one if I never got this one.  Next show i go to I’m looking for a female.  Hopefully I’ll be offering some leopard geckos later down the road.

28 November 2009

Well I thought today was going to be a productive day.  Started out by going food shopping, then to cut some aluminum tubing for the mice rack, then did some yard work.  After getting the yard work done I decided on starting the mice rack build.  All was going as planned until the drill bit snapped, causing my hand to slide forward and....BAM right into the corner of the aluminum tubing.  I knew I was cut, just didn't know how badly.  When I looked at the cut, I had to hold my skin together as I could see my tendon.  The tubing sliced right into my finger.  I called for my wife and told her, I need to get stitches....she says not again....I told you!!!
After 3 hrs waiting at the emergency room, I came home with 6 stitches.....hand all wrapped up, and out of commission for about 2 weeks.
Lesson learned.....wear gloves, even when you think you won't need them.

26 November 2009

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!
Well finally got to writing my first BLOG today.  Was a pretty busy day.  Went to IKEA to get some light fixtures for the house, and then to Brico to get some aluminum tubing and some modular fittings for the mice rack i plan on building.  I plan on posting another "How To" on building a modular mice rack out of aluminum so stay tuned.
Fed a few royals and seperated some prego mice this evening.  Conducted checks on the collection and feeders....same ol' stuff!
